A series of lectures, designed to coincide with the ‘International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression’ took place at Paranthan Maha Vidyalaya in Kilinochchi, following initiatives taken by 6 (v) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) serving the area.
Attended by Army and Police personnel, children and parents in the area during the lectures received a comprehensive knowledge on parental responsibilities and their commitments towards their children. Similarly, the question of parental care as well as their intense surveillance was taken up during these sessions.
More than 200 parents and their children attended this programme at Kilinochchi and steps were taken to conduct the same lectures at 65 and 66 Division Headquarters’ areas.
