More than 200 patients receiving treatment at Mannar District Hospital on account of X’mas received gift parcels following sponsorship, extended to the Army by the People’s Bank, Mannar.
With the blessings of the Security Forces Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W), the 54 Division Headquarters with the support of 543 Brigade organized the treat to the inmates on the eve of X’mas day as a gesture of goodwill and mutual understanding.
All hospital inmates during the same occasion enjoyed dancing performances of selected school children and Carols sung by another group, visiting each and every ward in the hospital.
Senior People’s Bank officials, Brigadier M.A.M Dias, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division, Colonel E.N. Ramanayake, 543 Brigade Commander, Commanding Officers, Civil Affairs officers and several others joined together to give away those gift parcels, containing essentials.
