Major General H.C.P. Goonetilleke, Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army who participated as a juror in the ‘World HRD Congress’, Silver Jubilee Global Forum in India received the ‘Excellence HR Leadership Award 2017’.
Over 1400 leading lights of human resource development from 133 countries attended the showpiece event, held recently in India. Top Global HR leaders were awarded during the event which also was addressed by several notable international speakers.
Major General Goonetilleke, recognized as one of the Army’s most distinguished Officers, is the Army’s No. 2 as its Chief of Staff, a position that oversees one of the country’s largest and most challenging human resource organizations.
The World HRD Congress is the only global event that encompasses all crucial elements of HR, including Strategic HRM Training and Development; Learning; Coaching; Leadership; Story Telling; Compensation and Benefits; Organizational Development; Health and Wellness; Building Trust; Diversity and Inclusion; Design Thinking and HR Tech.
Major General Goonetilleke is a product of Royal College Colombo and St Benedict's College Colombo.
