A MUSICAL SHOW was organized by the Sri Lanka Army Mechanized Infantry Regiment under the guidance of Major General M.P Pieris, the Regimental Commander of Mach-Infantry and Military Secretary at Army Headquarters to collect funds for the welfare of disabled War Heroes and those who have been currently serving in the Regiment.
The event was held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo on 25th December evening from 7.30 p.m. unitl midnight. The Chief Guest for the occasion, the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, opened the event by lighting the traditional oil lamp. Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya the President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch was also there with the Army Commander. The leading singers of the country entertained the crowd to the rhythm of a well-known band in the country ‘Sanidapa’. Dancing troops also performed to the roaring applause of the audience.
