KILINOCHCHI : AN LTTE makeshift camp on the IRANATHIVU islands, about 12 km west of NACHCHIKUDAH beach in the KILINOCHCHI district, was destroyed by the Naval troops this evening (02).
During the raid, Navy destroyed one LTTE boat and killed four LTTE terrorists. Sailors captured two LTTE boats along with their OBMs (Out Board Motors) left behind by the fleeing LTTE cadres.
One stretcher, a stock of medical items, two cans full of fuel and a tent were among the LTTE items recovered by the sailors from the island.
Further Naval search operations are continuing.
