One more Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) - initiated welfare programme to donate pairs of school shoes for 100 children of low-income groups got underway at the remote Horowpothana Parangiyawadiya Vidyalaya in the Anuradhapura District on Saturday (23).
Sponsored by Mr Roshan Masakorala of the Sri Lanka Shipping Academy, coordination for this generous gesture was done by Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W) who has been instrumental in organizing many a such welfare programme in the Wanni for both poverty-stricken school students and civilians in the past few years.
At the distribution in Parangiyawadiya Vidyalaya, Colonel K.A.W.S Ratnayake, 213 Brigade Commander as the Chief Guest gave away those cash vouchers to buy school shoes for 100 selected students. 213 and 211 Brigade Officers, Officers serving formations under command to the 21 Division, teachers and parents were present at the ceremony.
In the most recent past, the same donor, Mr Roshan Masakorala donated 200 more gift vouchers to the students in Anuradhapura, Vavuniya and Mannar schools who are from poor families at the request of the Wanni Commander with the intention of promoting spirits of reconciliation, friendship and understanding. jordan Sneakers | Air Jordan Release Dates 2021 Updated , Gov
