The Dharma Vijaya Foundation from Colombo in response to a request of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) donated Instruments and accessories to the school band team, electric fans, bicycles and a Public Address system to Puttur-based Madihe Pangnaseeha Vidyalaya in Jaffna on Tuesday (20).
Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J), initiated the project after school authorities informed those requirements to the SFHQ-J.
This donation fulfils a long-felt need of the students at Madihe Pangnaseeha Vidyalaya.
Troops of the 52 Division, commanded by Major General Laksiri Waduge, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 52 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) provided all possible assistance and guidance to the organizer of the event 1 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) under the guidance of the Jaffna Commander.
