59 Division troops extended their full support for conduct of the annual Katina ceremony at Kokilai Sri Sambodhi temple on Sunday (4).
Ven Sri Tissapura Gunarathana Thero, Chief Incumbent at Kokilai Sri Sambodhi temple organized the proceedings with the participation of 20 Buddhist monks, attending the Heel Dana (breakfast).
Mrs Chandrika and family, together with Mrs H.K Sunethra and her family members in Nugegoda assisted in numerous ways to make the religious ceremony a success.
Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Deputy Chief of Staff also attended the occasion and planted a sapling of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in the temple premises on the same day.
