Troops serving under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) attended a full day workshop on ‘Fire-Fighting and its Equipment Usage’ at the Headquarters main auditorium on Wednesday (13).
The programme got underway on the directions of Major General P.U.S Vithanage, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT) who wanted to refresh the knowledge on importance of fire control.
A total of 117 Army personnel including 45 officers and 72 other ranks in Divisions, Forward Maintenance Areas, Brigades and Units attended the day’s event.
Lieutenant V.D Wanniarachchi of 7 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps delivered lectures on the subject, together with practical demonstrations at the SFHQ-MLT playground.
Lieutenant Colonel J.K.R Jayakody, General Staff Officer I (GSO I), SFHQ-MLT attended the event at the inauguration.
