A state-of-the art, 'Shopping Spree-2019", exhibition and sale of clothes, ornaments, handicrafts, etc at subsidized price got underway for the first time on Sunday (23) inside the Kilinochchi Army Welfare Shop premises by the A-9 Roadside in a move to sell the times to civilians with best discounts. 573 Brigade headquarters according to the vision of Commander Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi, Major General G V Ravipriya launched the project.
The new initiative assisted the promotion of goodwill among Kilinochchi business community and the troops since the project accommodated the sale of different products of Kilinochchi people at reasonable price.
Thousands of civilians thronged the spectacle and purchased a variety of household needs and clothes, etc.
Brigadier A.S Hewawitharana, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division graced the inaugural occasion as the Chief Guest on behalf of the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi. He was received on arrival by the 573 Brigade Commander. The project consisted of a beauty culture workshop and a musical evening that continued late into the evening.
