'Kiyoshi Ryu Budo' Followers Receive Certificates of Competence in Kilinochchi

A total of 432 soldiers belonging to 57, 65 and 66 Divisions of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) who successfully completed the self-defence training course, Kiyoshi Ryu Budo - No 2 & No 3 received their certificates of competence during the awarding ceremony that got underway recently at the 57 Division Headquarters.

The Course No 2 commenced on 23 December 2017 was attended by 166 soldiers of the 57 Division and 66 soldiers of 65 and 66 Divisions. They all became qualified to wear the Green Belt after completing the 4th stage of the course as per instructions of the World Karate Budo Federation, Sri Lanka Branch.

Course No 3, followed by 200 soldiers of 57 and 65 Divisions qualified all of them to wear the Yellow Belt under the guidance of the Chief Instructor of the Sri Lanka Army Karate Association Mr Clement De Soyza who is also the Chief Instructor at World Karate Budo Federation.

Colonel Rohitha Aluvihare, Brigade Commander, 571 Brigade, representing the Kilinochchi Commander, attended the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest. After award of certificates to Green Belt and Yellow Belt holders, the organizers gave away special gifts to the Chief Instructor and all other assistant instructors on the same occasion.
