Kilinochchi Troops Get School Accessories for Kids as New Year Incentives

Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), paying attention to the requirements of kids at Annai Illam pre-school in Kilinochchi, being one of the biggest nurseries in the area made arrangements to buy them a large consignment of school accessories, needed in the New Year. The stock of those accessories was worth, about Rs 1 lakh.

Several Catholic priests in the area, together with Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) as the Chief Guest for the occasion joined the distribution of those incentives among 160 pre-school kids during a simple ceremony on Friday (5) at Libara Library premises in Kilinochchi.

SFHQ-KLN troops as a symbol of their concern and goodwill for the kids, voluntarily contributed to this worthy cause considering economic constraints of those families. The stock consisted of exercise books, pens, pencils, stationery, etc.

A few Staff Officers at the SFHQ-KLN, teachers, parents and students were present at the occasion.
