Officials of the Sri Lanka ‘Hadabima Adhikariya’ with the intention of educating troops of the Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi (SFHQ – KLN), engaged in the cultivation of 5000 Jack fruit saplings in and around Kilinochchi conducted an elaborate educative programme on ‘seed planting’, ‘use of manure’, ‘watering’, ‘maintenance of its growth’, etc on Sunday (19).
It was initiated following a suggestion made by Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana, Commander, SFHQ – KLN. The same lecture was delivered at the 65 Division Headquarters on Saturday (18) since troops are also going ahead with jack tree planting drives in those respective areas.
