A special coordinating conference at the Security Force Headquarters-Killinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) to evaluate the spill-over and impact of COVID-19 outbreak of Minuangoda cluster got underway on Wednesday (14), chaired by Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commander, Security Forces-Killinochchi.
The discussion was contributed to by Kilinochchi District Secretary Mrs R Ketheeswaran, Provincial Director of Health Services, Dr A.Ketheswaran and Regional Director of Health Services Kilinochchi, Dr. N Sarvana Bawan, with the intention of developing an integrated mechanism to address the practical issues of establishing additional hospital facilities in an emergency situation of COVID-19 in this area.
They evaluated current developments as regards COVID-19 outbreak in Kilinochchi area and its suburbs with focus on prevention procedures and action plan in depth.
