Kilinochchi English Training Programme Continues

A total of 122 students learning in Grade 3 - 9 classes in Kallaru Tamil Madya Maha Vidyalaya underwent a specially-organized English Language training programme, initiated by the Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN).

The programme on Thursday (8) at this school is part of the training project, being launched by the SFHQ-KLN for the benefit of Kilinochchi students who are weak in English. Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-KLN after consulting educational authorities in Kilinochchi organized it with the support of 4 Sri Lanka National Guard troops serving the area.

Meanwhile, in parallel with the event, SFHQ-KLN organized a beauty culture workshop for 35 Tamil women in the area. The workshop, coordinated by the 6 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (6 (V) SLAWC), was held at 571 Brigade Headquarters auditorium in Kilinochchi.
