Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi on Thursday (9) presided a security coordinating conference with representatives of all state, semi-state and private sector institutes in the Kilinochchi district in order to explain prevailing security concerns and security arrangements kept in place by the Security Forces to stem extremist activities, aimed at bringing normalcy to the area. It took place at the conference hall of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi.
A total of 39 officials participated in the interactive meeting and highlighted difficulties faced by their workers and customers due to prevailing circumstances. The Kilinochchi Commander further explained about the efforts made by the Security Forces to enhance security in the area and urged all participants to extend their fullest support to the Security Forces.
