Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), together with Hayleys Pvt Ltd organized one-day workshop for Army personnel serving in different Battalions, Brigades and Divisions in SFHQ-KLN on Gherkin cultivation in the areas following an initiative of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
The main intention of the awareness programme is to provide knowledge to Army personnel for motivation of civilians in the area so that they could make a living.
Three executive officers of Heyleys Pvt Ltd attended the workshop to educate 65 officers and other ranks on methods of Gherkin cultivation and reaping of its harvest.
