Kelebogaswewa Resettled Families Receive Relief Items


One more donation of essentials plus educational accessories to civilians and school students in the resettled Kelebogaswewa village area took place on Thursday (29).

An estimated group of 238 families received kerosene oil chimney lamps, clothes, garments, kitchen appliances, school books and a few other essentials during this brief ceremony in the village area.

The donation was made possible due to generosity of Mr Dalpadadu of Matale Lions Club and Mrs Nayani Wijerathna, Attorney-at-law and coordination done by 56 Division in cooperation with the 563 Brigade Headquarters.    

Major General Boniface Perera, Commander Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) graced the arrangement as the Chief Guest.

Ven Atambagaskada Kalyanatissa Nayaka Thero, Brigadier D.A.R Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Brigadier R.K.B.S Ketakumbura, Colonel S.P Wijesuriya, Colonel A.A.I.J Bandara, Commander 563 Brigade, Mr Hemantha Adikari, Senior Superintendant of Police (Wanni), and several others took part in the ceremony.
