19 Sri Lanka National Guard Troops (SLNG) under 553 Brigade, considering economic constraints of the students distributed school accessories and uniforms on Wednesday (28) at Kaddekadu Roman Catholic Mixed School premises.
Children of 52 low-income families on the occasion received school uniforms, gift parcels of accessories while families were given a dry ration pack, each.
The total value of, this donation was Rs. 70,000 which the Army coordinated. ‘King of Help’ Sri Lanka organization provided the sponsorship.
Brigadier B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, General Officer Commanding 55 Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Mrs. R.M Kumuduni Renuka of ‘King of Help’ Sri Lanka, Senior Officers, Teachers, Parents and school children attended the occasion.
