Ms Mariko Yamamoto, Researcher / Advisor at the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka during a tour to the north on Wednesday (15) called at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) with a view to receiving an update on the security situation and ongoing civil-oriented development projects in the peninsula.
Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) after welcoming her to the office explained military relations, challenges and ongoing civil-military projects in the peninsula to her.
The Japanese envoy thanked the Commander, SF-J for accommodating her for a mutual discussion at the SFHQ-J.
