Captain M. Shigakawa, Defence Attaché of the Japanese Embassy, Friday (6) afternoon, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva who assumed office recently as the new Commander.
The envoy after extending his greetings and best wishes on Lieutenant General De Silva’s new appointment, exchanged views on a few matters of bilateral importance and spoke high of good relations prevailing between Sri Lanka and Japan.
Towards the end of the cordial meeting, the visiting envoy presented a token memento to the Commander as a gesture of goodwill of his organization. The move was reciprocated.
