A three-month long course to improve English Language skills among soldiers serving the Jaffna peninsula got underway at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) auditorium during 10 Dec - 18 Feb 2019.
36 soldiers from various Regiments and Jaffna-based formations were benefited in the course. Lieutenant Anuradha Rupasinghe of Sri Lanka Army General Services Corps, an English instructor conducted the course at the request of the SFHQ-J.
The closing ceremony of the course took place with a variety show, presented by students. Major General Dharshana Hettiarrachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, on Monday (18), amidst several Senior Officers including General Officer Commanding 52 Division, Major General Laksiri Waduge, Brigade Commanders and a few Commanding Officers gave away certificates of participation to those course attendees.
