THE famous Power House road in Jaffna, remained hitherto closed for public owing to security reasons is now open for public transport, the Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna announced. The opening came into effect this morning (8) with recommencement of a bus service.
This public road will cut short access distance to the Jaffna main bus stand and facilitates civilians and businessmen living on sideways. The move was facilitated on the instructions of Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander, Security Forces, Jaffna in response to public appeals.
