Jaffna Ex- Combatant's Need Fulfilled

Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander, Security Forces -Jaffna on the eve of his departure from Jaffna to assume the office of the Chief of Staff, showed his concern towards an amputated ex-LTTE combatant and offered him with a new wheelchair after visiting his home at Varani.

After the need for a wheelchair to this ex-combatant was brought to the Jaffna Commander's notice, he immediately took steps to get down a wheelchair through a donor in Colombo.

Major General Mahesh Senanayake with a few brother officers visited the house of the ex-LTTE combatant and gave him the wheelchair, along with a stock of school accessories to his children and dry rations.

The ex-LTTE combatant and his two children thanked Major General Mahesh Senanayake for his concern and donation considering his predicament.
