J’Pura Undergrads Visit SLLI Museum

87 undergraduates, led by Professor Alexander Kapukotuwa, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Sri Jayawardanapura and a team of lecturers in the History and Archaeology Department on an educational tour, visited the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) on Monday (13) with a view to learning more about the war history and other wartime equipment.

The group of undergrads and lecturers were welcomed by the Centre Commandant, RHQ, SLLI, Brigadier M.M Kithsiri at the entrance to the RHQ premises and conducted them to view the exhibits.

The visitors were enlightened on the historic value and importance of the SLLI exhibits and SLLI roles and its history as the most pioneering Regiment in the Army by Major Indika Hewapathirana, Regimental Adjutant, SLLI.
