J'pura Medical Team Treats Re-settled Families

A MEDICAL CLINIC to treat IDP families re-settled in Kanakarayankulam area in the North was organized by 56 Division troops on 14th March 2010 at Kanakarayankulam Maha Vidyalaya.

It was initiated by Wanni Commander and Competent Authority for Re-settlement of IDPs in the North Major General G.D.H.K. Gunaratne.

Eight specialist doctors led by Dr. (Ms) Anula Wijesundera from Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital with about 30 members of the medical staff including nurses extended their support for the project.
 
The medical clinic examined and treated nearly one thousand patients during the whole day. The people in the area praised the Army for its contribution towards betterment of their health. 

Brigadier N.A.P.C. Napagoda, General Officer Commanding 56 Division, Brigadier D.A.R. Ranawaka Brigade Commander 561 Brigade and Colonel K.G. Kulatunge, Chief Civil Coordinating Officer, Wanni were also present on the occasion.
