Items Used in Former LTTE Swarnam's Office Complex Unearthed

EAST: A STOCK of accessories to arms and ammunition, kept buried in PUCHCHANKERNI, VAKARAI in the East, were unearthed by the troops Sunday (21) afternoon while they were conducting a search and clear operation.

An informant has alerted the troops on the hideout following information received earlier. The unearthing took place around 6.45 p.m. on Sunday (21).

A Tiger terrorist in custody has confirmed the availability of those items. Troops found one 21’’ Sony TV, one video tape winder, one Panasonic CD player, one digital satellite, one Canon printer, one computer key board, two search lights, one Sony radio, five oil filters, one multi meter, one Eurotel phone, one satellite disk and receiver, one 152 mm tire with rim, eight illuminating attachments of 152 mm gun, one artillery coli meter, one 152 mm battery tool box, two digital thermometers of 152 mm tool box, three gun levels, five calculators used for artillery firing, one gun pressure meter and one 81 mm mortar clearing brush.

The items had been used by the former LTTE leader for the East SWARNAM in his office, according to the informant.
