The finals in the Inter-regiment Wushu Tournament - 2018 took place at Panagoda gymnasium on Wednesday (31).
Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) carried away the championship trophy and players of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) and Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) emerged co-runners-up in the men’s category.
In the women’s category Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) players became the winners defeating Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) woman players.
Major General Dananjith Karunaratne, Director General Genaral Staff at the Army Headquarters attended the prize-giving ceremony as the Chief Guest at the invitation of Brigadier Prabhath Dematanpitiya, Chairman, Army Wushu Committee.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the Chief Guest gave away trophies and certificates to the winners.
