The annual Inter Regiment Weight-Lifting, Power-Lifting & Body-Building tournament took place at Panagoda Army Cantonment Indoor Stadium on Friday (1).
Major General A.K.S Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters, West (SFHQ-West) as the Chief Guest, graced the event and greeted the competitors.
Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment carried away the Championship in weight-lifting category and the Championship in Power-Lifting went to the Sri Lanka National Guard players. Inter Regiment Body-Builders’ trophy was snatched by Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
Corporal C.S.S.G Wijesuriya was adjudged the Best Player in the Weight-Lifting category. Corporal S.K.S Pradeep emerged as the Best Player in the Power-Lifting fray. Corporal Y.G Amila was chosen as the Best Body-Builder.
