Inter Regiment Handball Championship Goes to Gemunu Watch

The Inter Regiment Handball Tournament concluded on Wednesday (03) at Gymnasium, Army Cantonment, Panagoda with the participation of 210 sportsmen and women representing 13 Regiments and 2 Units of the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps (SLAWC).

The final tussle between Gemunu Watch (GW) and Sri Lanka Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) teams saw victory clinched by handball players of the Gemunu Watch. The trophy was presented to the winners by the Chief Guest, Major General Renuka Udawattha, Deputy Chief of Staff.

Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - West gave away the trophy to the Gemunu Watch and the runners-up in the tournament.

Major General Dhananjith Karunarathne, Chief Field Engineer gave away the trophy to Sportsmen of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, the second runners up in the tournament.
