The Inter Regiment Body Building, Weight Lifting and Power Lifting Tournament – 2014 took place at Panagoda Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) gymnasium at Panagoda and Torrington Gymnasium during December 2-4.
Recruit T.M.U.K Tennakoon of the SLAGSC by becoming the Best Body Builder in the tournament was adjudged the ‘Mr Army’ in the 80 kg category. Lance Corporal J.A.C Lakmal of Commando Regiment and Lance Corporal W.D.G.S Wickramarathne of SLAGSC won 56 kg and 59 kg trophies as Best Weight Lifters respectively.
Gemunu Watch claimed the Championship in Body Building while Sri Lanka Artillery carried the championship in Weight Lifting. Sri Lanka National Guard meanwhile, won the championship in Power Lifting.
