The closing ceremony of the Inter Regiment Baseball tournament of the Army took place on Sunday (22) at the Gemunu Watch Regimental Headquarters, Kuruwita.
In the sportsmen’s category, the Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) Baseball Team carried away the championship trophy in the tournament. Its runners up were Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME).
In the sportswomen’s category, 7 Sri Lanka women Corps Baseball Team carried away the championship trophy in the tournament. Its runners up were 6 Sri Lanka Women’s Corps.
The winners of the tournament were awarded certificates and trophies.
The closing ceremony was graced by Major General P.U.S. Vithanage, Chairman, Army Baseball Committee.
