Inter Divisional Badminton finals drew to a close at the gymnasium, 61 Division, Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ- W) on Tuesday (04).
The former gymnasium at the Headquarters was renovated to be of high standards, enabling the Badminton court to conduct the final tournament. It was declared open on the same day by the Commander, SFHQ -W, Major General Boniface Perera with the finest set in.
The Best Player award of the series was won by Lance Corporal, G.W.D.R De Silva of the Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) team, while Brigadier D.M.W.W.W.M.R.B.M Daulagala and Colonel T.M Abeyrathna won the trophies in the game for players over 45 years. (Double final match). Over 45 year single game was won by Brigadier J.C Gamage.
The Chief Guest of the event, Major General Boniface Perera gave away trophies and certificates to the winners.
