65 Division in Thunukkai organized an inter-battalion cricket tournament under command to it on Thursday (19) at the 65 Division Sports Complex Thunukkai with the participation of Major General Kumara Peiris, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 65 Division, as the Chief Guest.
20 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops organized this tournament and 12 cricket teams participated in it which much interest.
Finals of this friendly tournament turned very competitive in between 19 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops and 20 (V) VIR. Ultimately, VIR troops gained victory after a close tussle.
65 Division, GOC, Brigade Commanders of the 651, 652, 653 and Commanding Officers of under command Battalions participated.
