The best new innovative products, crafted by Army personnel at Division and Headquarters levels for enhancement of technical talents and creative innovations, are to be displayed at a mega exhibition, scheduled in Colombo in the near future.
On Tuesday (9) a segment of those new inventions and creative equipment were kept on display at the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) before they were to be exposed in the planned exhibition.
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - West closely inspected and evaluated those new products and encouraged Army personnel before they were rewarded with special gifts.
Out of all the exhibits, the renovated vehicle that can be used to rescue hostages, security network operated through a mobile phone and the coconut scraping machine were adjudged the best and carried 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. More innovative products such as the water sprinkling machine, domestic security network system, ceiling fans, etc added colour to the occasion.
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe appreciated their hard work and urged them to enhance their knowledge further.
