Indian Army Basketball Team Beat Sri Lanka Army Counterparts

Indian Army Basketball team currently in Sri Lanka as part of the ongoing Army to Army Sports exchange programme emerged winners in the final friendly match played this evening (2) at the Army Indoor Basketball courts at Panagoda.

The friendly match between Indian Army basketballers and their rivals in the Sri Lanka Army (SLA), saw the Indian team beat SLA by 77 - 47 points as the match drew to an end at Panagoda.

Major General K.R.P Rowel, Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lana Signal Corps (SLSC) attended the final match at Panagoda.

Major General Rohana Bandara, Director General Army Sports, Brigadier Mangala Wijesundara, Acting Director Army Sports and Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Basketball Committee and several senior officers witnessed the finals at Panagoda.
