ICRC Head Makes Her First Trip to Jaffna

Ms. Claire Meytraud, Head of Delegation, International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) visited the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Wednesday (18) during a visit to the peninsula. 

Ms. Meytraud was accompanied by Mr. Patric Morin, ICRC Head for Vavuniya and they were warmly welcomed by Major General Nandana Udawatta, Commander, SFHQ-J. 

During the meeting, the SF Commander enlightened them on current roles and tasks of the Security Forces in the peninsula. Before leaving Ms. Meytraud signed the visitors’ book to mark her first visit to the North after assumption of duties as Head of Delegation ICRC.
