Head of NOCPCO during Surprise Visits Assesses Quarantine Process in Galle Area

With a view to assessing ongoing quarantine processes in the Navy-managed Quarantine Centres (QCs), Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army this afternoon (25) made unannounced visits to several improvised Quarantine Centres in Galle area.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, adhering to health precautions called at the improvised QCs, Fairway Sunset Serviced Apartments in Galle, Tharushi Restaurant, Saffron at Unawatuna, Don Ferial Nature Resort in Galle and a few more places where he exchanged views with management representatives and Naval staff, serving at those respective centres. He particularly looked into quarantine work and made specific inquiries in regard to the support given by those in quarantine and what else is needed to be done.
