HE to Bestow 'Abimansala 3' on War Heroes During Next 'Deyata Kirula'

Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army accompanied by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya President Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) paid a visit to the ‘Abimansala 3’ (Wellness Resort) Pangolla in Ibbagamuwa in North Western Province (NWP) this morning (02).

 ‘Abimansala’ is funded under Brave Hearts project, the brainchild of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, and amply backed by the SVAB.

Entire construction work of Abimansala 3’ which is intend for 50 plus dependent War Heroes in NWP is carried out with the expertise of the sappers. Engineer Service Regiment soldiers sweat over for the project that would house their disable fellow-soldiers for rest and recreation.

The serene 10-acre state land, allotted exclusively to the Army Directorate of Welfare for this noble mission borders Deduru Oya banks, overlooking the scenic Bathalagoda lake in Pangolla area and is to be supplemented with three spacious cottages, eight villas, a ward complex for 20 inmates, swimming pool, gymnasium, physiotherapy unit, medical wing, medical laboratory.

The Commander, after inspecting the construction site, noted that Abimansala 3 is scheduled to be handed over to its beneficiaries by HE the President during the next ‘Deyata Kirula’.

Before leaving Pangolla, Lieutenant General Jayasuriya also visited the nearby Paper recycling project, carried out by War Heroes, initiated and actively supported by SVAB.
