GW Troops, Together with ‘Rangiri Sri Lanka’ Staff Join Distribution of Relief Packages

Flood relief operations undertaken by Army troops of the Gemunu Watch (GW) in worst-affected Karangoda in Elapatha Divisional Secretariat of Ratnapura District, coordinated another ‘Rangiri Sri Lanka’ - initiated relief programme and assisted the distribution of dry ration parcels and school accessories on Thursday (15) at Karangoda Vidyalaya premises.

126 families and 250 children of the Karangoda Grama Seva Division received those relief items under the supervision of the organizers. The sponsorship programme of the Rangiri Sri Lanka was headed by Chief Incumbent of the Rangiri Dambulu Raja Maha Viharaya, Ven Inamaluwe Sri Sumangala Thero.

The event was attended by General Secretary of the Rangiri Dambulu Chapter, Ven Daniyagama Ananda Nayaka Thero, Deputy Director General of the ‘Rangiri Sri Lanka’ Media Network, Mr Anuradha Rohana Kapukotuwa, Radio Manager of the ‘Rangiri Sri Lanka’ Media Network, Mr Janith De Silva, Radio Manager of the ‘Rangiri Sri Lanka’ Media Network, members of the media network and 8 GW troops.
