The finals of the Army Inter Regiment Para Basketball Tournament was held at the Regimental Headquarters, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) Basketball Grounds in Panagoda on Wednesday (22) evening.
Major General Renuka Rowel, Colonel Commandant, SLSC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
A total of 5 para basketball teams vied for the Championship. Players in the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and Gajaba Regiment (GR) qualified for the finals.
GR defeated SLLI to emerge as Army Para Basketball Champions for 2015.
Major General K.R.P Rowel gave away the trophies to the winners and runner-up teams.
Members of the Army Para Basketball Committee, officers and other ranks were present to witness the finals.
