Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Boxing tournament was conducted at Army Physical Training School gymnasium boxing ring from 29th to 31st. The final tussle between Gajaba Regiment (GR) and Sri Lanka Armored Corps (SLAC), held Thursday (31) eve, was won by GR boxers after a tough exchange of blows with the SLAC.
The final event was graced by the Deputy Chief of Staff of Army Headquarters Major General A. L. R. Wijetunga as the Chief Guest.
The tournament was conducted under 10 weight categories for both men and women.
Private Sampath J. A. J. of GR emerged Best Boxer for men’s while Lance Corporal Rajapaksha B. R. M. S. N. of Commando Regiment (CR) was adjudged the best looser of the tournament.
