Gajaba Regiment & Gunners Become Co-Champions in Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

Army Inter Regiment Para Wheelchair Tennis Tournament - 2016 was held during 25-26 at Sri Lanka Tennis Association’s (SLTA) court in Colombo. 

6 Regimental wheelchair tennis teams with 17 players participated in the tournament. 

Gajaba Regiment (GR) and the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) tennis players emerged co-champions in the tournament.

The best player of the tournament was Lance Bombardier D.S.R Dharmasena of SLA.

Brigadier W.D.C.K Kosta, Centre Commandant, SLA gave away trophies and certificates to the winners in the tournament.

Mr Pradeep Gunasekara, Secretary, Sri Lanka Tennis Association, Mr Amal Jagath Welikala, Chief Coach, Wheelchair Tennis Association and Colour Sergeant Jayashantha, Senior Tennis player of the tournament also witnessed the final competitions.
