A three-member French naval delegation, led by HE Jean-Marin Schuh, Ambassador of France for Sri Lanka and Maldives Monday (28) afternoon paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters.
The delegation, comprised of Rear Admiral, Didier Piaton of Joint Commander of the French Force in the United Arab Emirates and two other senior naval officers including one lady officer, currently in Colombo for the ongoing ‘Galle Dialogue’ conference, in addition to the Ambassador, shared views on regional matters of interest and other military importance during the cordial meeting that ensued afterwards in the Commander’s office.
Towards the culmination of the interaction, the Commander presented them with mementos as symbols of goodwill and understanding. The move was reciprocated.
