Former 'Tripoli Market' Turns 'Experts' City,' Venue For Innovative Think-tank &;amp; Scientific Inventors

Putting formerly famous commercial building, 'Tripoli Market' into good use, to be in parallel with world's fast changing, innovative and latest advancements of creativity, invention and discovery, the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development on Monday (28) after a complete overhaul of the premises, vested it in the public, having renamed the premises to be called the " Experts' City", a venue where all think-tank, including scientific, technical and mechanical inventors and experts could gather under one roof and put their heads together to invent or experiment new products of global importance.

The project became a reality, following a dialogue inititated by a few industrial and scientific magnates with Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary Defence and Urban Development highlighting the national significance of a centre of that nature where those interested could explore new openings, possibilities, opportunities, etc for advancement of the country's image as a nation while forging ahead with more and more totally astounding new inventions, discoveries, etc. The absence of a common venue for such research and forum has posed a setback to their efforts on their way to be the 'Wonder of Asia', Mr Rajapaksa has been told.

The project bore fruit on Monday (28) when Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa was invited to declare open the first of its kind in the renovated building.' CODEGEN', a company that has been established to do research and make new strides in the field of electronics by going to the extent of experimenting with electric mobility, etc, had its new premises opened by the architect of the project, Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa during a simple ceremony on Monday (28).

Flanked by Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army,  Chairman and Executive Board members of CODEGEN, Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa talked to the workforce  and inquired into their new initiatives and fresh innovatives, meant to bring marvellous results and undying hopes to budding entrpreneurs and the youth in the country.
