Fiji’s Deputy Army Commander Pays Courtesy Call on Commander

Brigadier General Aziz Mohammed, Deputy Army Commander and Chief of Staff of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), currently in Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army on Wednesday (16) at the Army Headquarters.

A Guard Turnout salute on arrival at the entrance to the Army Headquarters premises honoured the visiting Fijian military officer before he was received by Director Operations, Brigadier Priyantha Senarathna at the foyer to the Commander’s Secretariat.

During the ensuing cordial meeting, Deputy Army Commander, RFMF and accompanying delegates, Colonel Satenafa Motufaga, Land Force Commander, RFMF and Counsellor General for Sri Lanka in Fiji, Mr Parakrama Dissanayake exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and relevance with the Commander of the Army.

Towards the culmination of the discussion, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army and the visiting Brigadier General exchanged mementos of goodwill and cooperation.

Major General Janaka Walgama, Military Secratary was also present during the meeting.

Colonel Samantha Wickramasena, Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) welcomed the visiting Deputy Army Commander at the entrance to the Headquarters where the Guard Turnout was held.
