19 innovations and creative appliances, produced by the troops of the Security Forces - Central (SF-C) were on display at the Security Forces Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) lecture hall on Tuesday (24) as part of the ongoing motivation programme in search of inborn talents. Senior lecturers of Uva -Wellassa University, Prof D.K.D.D Jayasena and Dr E.D.N.S Abeyrathna evaluated the creativity of those projects and selected the best out of the best at the invitation of Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central.
The programme is meant to encourage the troops to innovate new products that could be of use to human-beings and industry alike and receive recognition in the market for future prospects.
The first place was won by 10 Corps of Engineer Services (CES) for their production of the vehicle engine injector nozzle tester and the second place went to a sample musical instrument made by 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLARC) troops. The third place was won by troops of the 112 Brigade for their production of the putty cutting machine.
Senior Officers in under command Divisions, Brigades, Units and other military establishments and school students in the area visited the exhibition.buy footwear | Nike
