Exhibition of Artifacts Marks DSC 10th Anniversary

Students at Colombo 2 Defence Services College (DSC) on account of the DSC’s 10th anniversary opened an exhibition of artifacts at the school premises on Thursday (29).

The exhibition was opened by Hon Ruwan Wijewardene, State Minister of Defence as the Chief Guest in the company of Eng Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Defence Secretary, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army, Additional Secretary to Ministry of Defence, Chief of Staff, Sri Lanka Navy.  

Principal at the DSC welcomed the visiting Minister and other invitees on arrival at the DSC main entrance. Lighting of the traditional oil lamp and a brief speech by the Minister to the occasion facilitated the ceremonial opening of the exhibition. In his speech, he congratulated the students for their creative abilities and encouraged them to reach the apex of higher education to serve the country in the future.

The exhibition will continue until Friday (30) evening. All the invitees after the opening of the exhibition closely watched the exhibits.
