Thirty nine officers serving the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) received certificates on successful completion of their four-month long English language course on Friday (13) at the SFHQ-J auditorium with the participation of Commander, SFHQ-J, Major General Jagath Alwis.
Lectures for this course were conducted by Army and Civil instructors of the ‘Skills Through English for Public Servants’ (STEPS) institute. The course consisted of many field activities such as sports, excursions, etc.
Moreover, ‘Julius Caesar’, English songs and power point presentations were projected by officers during the proceedings in the final ceremony.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 52 and 55 Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Battalion Commanders, instructors and STEPS officers were also present in the event.
