Engineers Win Army Inter Regiment Swimming Championship for Novices

The Inter Regiment swimming championship for novices was held at Panagoda on 29 August. This novice swimming championship was held for two days (28 to 29).

Men’s Championship was won by Sri Lanka Army Engineer Regiment while Gemunu Watch secured the runners-up position. Women’s championship was won by 6th Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps while the 5th Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps emerged runners-up.

Major General, A.W.J.C de Silva, Chief of Staff of the Army as the Chief Guest graced the closing day and gave away the trophies.
Senior Officers and many sports fans attended the occasion.
